I lost my wallet last night, Oppo.... Unless the movie theater I was at finds it or the girl I was with finds it in her car, I’m SOL... Please tell me getting a new drivers license isn’t as long and difficult of a process as I’m imagining it being.

Great News!

It’s worse than you imagine! Hurray!

Depends on your location. Small town, it’s a tiny form, $12 and a sheepish picture.

I imagine it's more of a hassle in cities.

Ha so true. Having the duplicate stamp on it creates a wealth of problems ugh.

I’m just going to assume clothes being removed in the car is the reason for the disappearing wallet.

Cinci resident here. Piece of cake.

It’s not the replacement that’s difficult, it’s the potential of what someone can do with the information they find about you. If you haven’t already, I’d suggest subscribing to some sort of identity watch service, especially if you had other cards in your wallet.

In Virginia, I can do it online and never have to step into a dmv

Same just happened to me (AZ resident). Could not believe how easy it was. Can’t speak for any other states, but here I just went online and entered my name, address, DOB and maybe SSN, paid $12, and I was set. Best of luck!

Yeah, was super easy to online in NY as well, and I think a $17 fee. Surprised it is easy in Arizona, I get the feeling these border states are super paranoid about issuing ID.

We as a state are ridiculous across the board, but what bugs me more than any particular political stance is our tendency to be unapologetically contradictory. Oh well. At least reordering ID’s is a piece of cake.

No comment. But it was in her car, thank god.

True, my license was the only really sensitive personal info in there, but thankfully it was in her car!

Yeah it definitely might be more of a hassle than that here. Luckily it was in her car so I don't have to worry!

Thankfully she found it, but I should look into that just in case for future reference.

It was in her car so luckily I don't have to deal with it, but I'm probably going to look into it just for future reference
